Atelier

Artist Statement

Founded by Nour Zeini, the practice explores the relationship between body, material, and memory through contemporary jewellery and sculptural forms. Each piece is shaped through a process of experimentation and craftsmanship, where metal, structure, and texture become a language for exploring transformation, belonging, and the traces carried by the body. Moving between adornment and sculpture, Nour Zeini creates wearable objects that exist as a second skin — intimate forms that hold stories, memories, and moments of connection.

Biography

Bury Me In Your Skin

Beirut, Lebanon

Filmed inside Beirut's historic Pink House, this installation emerged from a dynamic dialogue between light, sound, and space. Handcrafted entirely from zinc, each 2 cm fragment was individually drilled, cut, and reassembled to form a continuous 2 × 150 m metal surface. Drawing inspiration from Penelope's endless weaving in The Odyssey , the piece reinterprets meticulous repetition as a quiet act of resistance, persistence, and reclamation.
